HEAT EXCHANGER

Hypoxy has an excellent range of unique metal repair composites and epoxy protective coatings to repair, rebuild and protect damaged heat exchangers suffering from erosion & corrosion issues.

The Hypoxy solvent free epoxy repair technology is used to repair and protect important parts of heat exchangers. This includes end covers, tube sheets, flange faces, water boxes and division bars. They can all be protected from both chemical attack and galvanic corrosion.

Hypoxy epoxy composites are solvent free and cold curing making them perfect for quick, in-situ applications that minimise downtime but provide long term protection from erosion and corrosion.

Galvanic corrosion is a big problem with heat exchangers due to the dissimilar metals used in their construction. Hypoxy composites are excellent electrical insulators which in turn prevents this galvanic corrosion, making them a unique and ultimate solution for heat exchanger protection.

When equipment outage must be kept to a minimum Hypoxy have developed an epoxy repair composite which can be used to rebuild and repair whilst providing a smooth and efficient top coat.

Why use Hypoxy composites to protect HEAT EXCHANGERS?
  • -> Hypoxy composite provide the ultimate long-term protection from erosion and corrosion. Especially with galvanic corrosion.
  • -> Hypoxy CERAMIC HARD COAT drastically reduces equipment outage and downtime.
  • -> High temperature resistance.
  • -> No need for any hot work – Hypoxy Polymer Composites are cold curing, effective and ultimately extend equipment life!

    Unique Products for Heat Exchanger Protection – Erosion & Corrosion

  • -> Hypoxy TITANBOND METAL REPAIR COMPOUND is used as an all-purpose repair composite for exchangers. Mainly used on end covers, tube sheets, flanges face and water boxes. Two part solvent free epoxy which is highly machinable once cured.
  • -> Hypoxy WEAR RESISTANCE PUTTY can be used in areas that are subject to high levels of erosion and corrosion due to its ceramic reinforced epoxy base.
  • -> Hypoxy BRUSHABLE GRADES CERAMIC HARD COAT is the top coat choice for the majority of applications. It has a wide operating temperature, along which outstanding resistance to erosion and corrosion.
